Proposal Ideas
Memory Lane:
An evening following traditions (park you met, pub of first date with first song etc) and following clues and stirring what brought you together. Evening gradually builds as clues are followed. Big effort often gives back rewards.
One knee:
The traditional “on one knee” in a full restaurant is more of a classic than a cliché, but still adored by women. The key is choice of restaurant and how much you “put yourself out there” in the risk of making a public proposal. Add twists to the idea, for example get the chef to prepare a “marry me” signature dish (can use the sauce to write it out), include little personalized chocolates that arrive with dessert or get a limo (at the end of the evening only to not to spoil the surprise early on).
Solitude:
The quiet proposal on the beach or in a park. The serenity and quietness should blend to your absolute commitment and way that you sincerely make your proposal. This theme is often uniquely developed, for example create a setting in the evening with a picnic basket and candles and lead her (or better still, row across) and maybe blindfold her before you walk her into the candlelight. Often consider natural beauty spots or areas that have special meaning for you. Include rose petals on the walk. Later at a scheduled time, someone just appears to sing her favorite song.
Vacation or cruise:
her senses are often heightened when away from routine. Put together a photo album that shows all the reasons you love her and build into a special vacation before the actual proposal is made. Get the captain of the ship to play a part – it is about going the extra mile.
From the air:
get large writing layout asking her to marry you and arrange helicopter or hot air ballon ride and go over spot
Have a magical candlelit bath:
appear with champagne, strawberries and the ring on a silver tray;
appear with the cast at the curtain call after a concert or play; full page or large advertisements in the local newspaper; have friends at a surprise party with “will you marry me” T-shirts; ask the band or DJ to announce your special song and that something special is going down
